Self-care for first response personnel, Monday June 13…What is the reality of PTSD, vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue and burnout — and what can you do about it?
The purpose of this event is to raise awareness for first response personnel and the mental health issues they can face. Learn what they look like and about the different resources available to you. Your jobs are part of you and that means your family and friends feel your stresses. This information is for them too!
Dr. Michael Sorsdahl, a highly experienced psychotherapist and educator, will be the keynote speaker at this event. Dr. Sorsdahl is an interactive and engaging speaker who has presented on trauma topics across Canada. There will also be first response personnel and health and wellness professionals on-hand sharing information. All are welcome to attend this important mental health awareness event.
