Highlights from local coverage of the 7th annual Canadian homelessness radio marathon
On Monday Nanaimo’s CHLY 101.7 FM joined nearly forty radio stations across Canada and over one hundred radio stations in the U.S. in broadcasting content about homelessness and poverty issues—for 14 hours.
The national homelessness marathon in Canada was coordinated from Montreal, with participation from cities and towns across Canada.
Nanaimo’s own community radio station—CHLY 101.7 FM—provided 9 hours of local content. On Thursday’s People First Radio broadcast we present Nanaimo voices from the local marathon. If you missed the marathon, you can hear it “in an hour” this Thursday in a condensed version.
