Open Minds, Open Windows brings hope to the stage
A Nanaimo-based organization has been working to reduce the stigma and prejudice surrounding people with mental health issues. Open Minds Open Windows Society provides a range of supportive services to people with mental health issues, including the Beautiful Minds Choir (pictured above, from a MySpace page).
Nanaimo’s Open Minds Open Windows is hosting its gala fundraising event “It Only Takes A Moment” on Friday Feb. 27 at the Port Theatre.
We speak with Sharry Curry, a board member with Open Minds Open Windows and Nanaimo singer Joëlle Rabu, who co-produces the event.
