picture 254NANAIMO RCMP VICTIM SERVICES: WHO THEY ARE, WHAT THEY DO AND HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED AS A VOLUNTEER.

Nanaimo RCMP Victim Services provides a variety of services to victims of crime and other personal tragedies.  They work from a client centered perspective and offer emotional support, practical assistance and accompaniment in the processes of court and help with filling out forms. They will serve as a liaison between the RCMP and the victim, providing updates on the status of the police investigation and/or court case.  Trained volunteers provide the bulk of the service.

We speak with RCMP Corporal Gary O’Brien and Cheryl Zapotichny, Program Manager for the Nanaimo RCMP Victim Services.
